Can You Stay Awake During the Holidays?

Have you ever wondered if you would be able to stay awake after a big holiday dinner? You know what I’m talking about! You see the delicious food on the table, picture perfect for a few seconds, and then everyone dives in like a pack of wolves. Before you know it, the table looks like a disaster area after a construction crew successfully completed its demolition project. There are napkins, plates with food remnants, partially-empty glasses and forks, spoons and knives strewn all over the … [Read more...]

It’s Time for Some Happy Stories

With the tragic developments of the Marysville Pilchuck High School shooting, I thought it would be good to report a few happy stories. Usually, happy stories don’t make it into the news or are briefly mentioned so you could easily miss it, which is an unfortunate reality—a lopsided view of the world. No wonder we are so screwed up! I would think that these critical issues should appear on television and radio news reports, but they don’t. … [Read more...]

Robin Made Us Laugh Until We Cried—Let’s Laugh in His Honor.

I am really sorry to say that the brilliant comedian/actor Robin Williams has died at the age of 63. He committed suicide by hanging himself in his home. This is a difficult one, because suicide is a devastating period at the end of someone’s life. I decided to break this up into two different posts, one to celebrate his life and amazing talent and one to tackle the tough subject of suicide. The first time I saw Robin Williams was on the television show “Mork and Mindy.” I never watched it, … [Read more...]
